We went as part of a 30 plus group, after a 5 mile walk along Kerridge Ridge and Ingersley Vale. So we turned up hungry!
Good beer on tap to refresh the parts - and bread and olive nibbles turned up after a short delay.
Beef. roasties & Yorkshire pud arrived a bit later - then greens, all delicious. Beef done to perfect pink. Excellent cheese board to follow washed down with Cotes du Rhone.
All in a very smart / casual space. We could do with a place like this in Sevenoaks!

We were staying overnight at nearby Shrigley Hall and decided to eat locally. I found this place on trip advisor and we were certainly not disappointed. From arrival the staff were lovely and friendly and attentive. We ordered a lovely bottle of rose which was very reasonable at £22. For starter we all had the Mussels which were devine! My friend is lactose intolerant and she was able to also enjoy the mussels as they made the sauce without butter (always a good sign of being made fresh). I had the seabass for main which was devine! In fact all of our main courses were delish and perfect portion sizes. We finished the meal with a couple of baileys coffee. The staff were attentive without being too much and the atmosphere was really lovely. We would definitely not hesitate in recommending this place, just gutted we live too far away for a repeat visit

We all enjoyed our dinner here on a Friday evening. The food all tasted fresh. The house wine was also very good. A very enjoyable evening. This is what restaurants should be doing.

We were staying near Macclesfield and asked some nearby relatives to arrange a dinner out together in the area. They chose the Lime Tree in Bollington; we had never heard of it. We were given a pleasant table for 4 in a corner. The menu read well, as did the wine list. We each chose different food and everyone really enjoyed each course. Tasty well-cooked food, excellent wine competently served, pleasant décor, friendly and attentive service, all in a relaxed atmosphere; the Lime Tree would be hard to beat as a place for a relaxed dinner.
