We stayed here with our nine month old baby, in the family room which was great, had a fab super king bed , very handy as the wee one decided against the travel cot and wanted in with us!!
this place was truly lovely, a bit out of the way on narrow roads but perfect for people who want away from tourist haunts such as Windermere, Ambleside etc.
The shower was amazingly powerful, plenty towels hot water etc, my only complaint would be that the room has a foosty damp dog smell from the carpet, I guess that's with it being a dog friendly hotel !
Staff were friendly and helpful and food was lovely, tasty well cooked, portions were good, and location was great too. Beatrix Potters Hilltop farm walking distance away from here. Was a bit wary about walking on the road with the baby though as some of the local traffic can fly round the bends pretty fast.
Would have given it five stars , or even four and half if I could, only downside as mentioned was doggy carpet smell though would consider staying here again.More
