I honestly don't know what people are complaining about. My sister-in-law, niece (9), daughter (4-3/4), and I went to eat at the Rainforest Cafe in Woodfield Mall after seeing the Hannah Montana Movie in 3-D at the AMC Theater at Streets of Woodfield.
The wait wasn't unreasonable- maybe 15 minutes in a line that was ambling along. Plenty to look at along the way, with the giant fishtanks, the merchandise, the 'animals' hanging from the lush canopy above... not to mention the 'crocodile' thrashing about at the entrance!
Once seated, next to the dolphins (GREAT TABLE!), we were waiting on immediately. The whole experience was great. The food was FANTASTIC. The two adults ate for approx. $13 per plate for some darn good food with enough to take home, and the kids menu was $5.99- which is only about $1 more than any other restaraunt, and in exchange for that $1, we were treated to some seriously fantastic ambience, including the 'thunderstorms' that would rattle the canopy above, complete with 'lighting' the gentle sounds of rain, and than the brightning sky and the twittering of birds after the 'rain' would pass. There was even a huge area of the 'sky' that had 'stars' that our kids watched for the 'shooting stars' that would cross the night sky occasionally.
Great experience. Great food. Great waitstaff. Fantastic ambience. Totally worth it. Everyone else is just complaining.
This isn't Long John Silver. This is the Rainforest Cafe.
