WOW.. This is a real find. This historic home is magnificent. It is so cozy with a wood burning fire in the parlor or enjoy a fire pit in the backyard. If you are looking for relaxing, this is the place to come. Or if you like activity there is biking in small town and hiking at Starved Rock State Park. There are so many things to do, I can not list them all! But you will find that you will love just to stick around the house. They have 1,000 DVDs, and we came with the full intentions of catching up on some films. But at the end of our 2 night stay, we realized we didn't even watch one, let alone turn on the tv. Monika is such a talented chef and that is reflected in her outstanding optional dinners. Please don't be foolish!! Attend all that you can. Otherwise you will regret it. Jeff and Monika are perfect innkeepers. They will give you your solitude if wanted, or engage you in lively conversation. These two have unusual backgrounds too. We loved everything about this place. We plan on going back many times. Run don't walk!!!
