“Not as good as other Bonefish visits”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

My first encounter with this chain was in Cincinnati, taken there by local friends. I was not impressed with a restaurant in a strip mall, but the food was surprisingly good and the service memorable. I found one in a nearby suburb here in Chicago, and the visit was equally good.
Our dinner last night, February 3, was not what I had experienced. While the special fish entrees were as described, and quite good, the "spicy scallop and shrimp" had bay, no sea scallops. Considering the price, I think sea scallops were in order. The fried calamari were a disaster, almost as if they had been re-heated left overs. The mussel sauce was as good as I remember, but the mussels, while plentiful, were quite small. We had to ask for bread twice.Since the restaurant was barely full, I did not understand why we were given a booth next to the kitchen.
entrance. The server seemed sincere in her efforts. A return? I am no sure.

“Grateful for this seafood restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014

I have good memories of another Bonefish Grill experience a few years ago. We were in Skokie so decided to try this location. My husband's fish and chips dinner was outstanding, with huge pieces of fish. He said some parts of the fries were a little greasy, but other than that, he was super pleased. For dessert, he had a coconut pie whose crispy coconut shreds coating creamy custard reminded him of a rich macaroon. I savored crisp, buttery, grilled tilapia with smooth, garlicky mashed potatoes. Very satisfying. Bonefish Grill has a nice selection of gluten-free dishes, including a g-f brownie a la mode that was rich and delicious. (It was actually two-and-a-half brownies; I ended up taking some home to eat the next day.) Their menu also includes chicken and steak, but they do seafood so well! Our waitress, Debbie, was very attentive.

“Good place for dinner”

Have gone here many times and always enjoyed the food and ambiance. Sometimes the salads are on the small side for the price charges, but the fish dishes are consistently good. Good service and nice wine list.
