“Good deal if booked on priceline.”

I stayed here one night. Smoking rooms are available and kindly segregated from the hotel.

There is additional parking in the back by the smoking block. We weren't informed of this.

The pool was very clean and comfortable temp. The hot tub was big enough for 8 or 10+. Open 9am to 9pm.

The price I paid was appropriate for the accommodations. The room was very clean. No exhaust fan in bathrooms though. AC was decent enough to keep cool.

The front desk was accommodating. This hotel has room service from Bar Louie.

They have a very large convention area. Also multiple computers with printing and Internet. Decent exercise room too. Vending machines take credit cards.

Rooms have clean microwaves and refrigerators. $80 for one night in the area was very reasonable. Now if we had paid full price of $140 I would be disappointed. The hotel has been renovated and seems spread out.

The hotel would be more comparable to a Hampton Inn if breakfast was included.

This is an old, OLD motel that they slapped the "Holiday Inn" name on. It does NOT live up to the Holiday Inn name.

The various wings of the motel are not connected, so you have to go up and down stairs after riding the elevator. The air is stale, and the bed was just tolerable. The windows only open on the corridor- why would you want to stare at the corridor and let people look into your room makes no sense.

The wifi was complicated to login to. Who even bothers having password protected wifi at hotels anymore?

The jacuzzi/whirlpool in the pool area, the one of two requirements we had for a hotel because we get achy when we travel, was never warmer than 70 degrees. Not even as warm as bathwater! And they never fixed it, even though we complained several times.

The absolute last straw was when we returned to the hotel and there were NO parking spaces in the hotel parking lot, the parking that we paid for as part of our hotel fee. You can't park on the streets overnight so this was our one other requirement. .Why wasn't there enough parking? Because they had half the lot blocked off for valet parking! And then the useless front desk staff had the nerve to LIE TO MY FACE and tell me they did not have valet parking! When the "valet parking" sign was not even 5 feet from the front door!

Oh, and Thursday night there was some sort of maniacal screaming coming from the bar every 5 minutes. Apparently it was some drunk and not a murder. Very loud wedding parties every night as well.

I will never stay here again. They are not close to anything, and not convenient to transit. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

Overall stay was good, receptionist at check in was very helpful and helped with all details. Parking is also easily available specially if you are IHG reward member.
Only disadvantage we felt was its location - it's like 40 mins from downtown on metra but metra station is also 15 mins from hotel so it took around 1 he to reach downtown.its near to Devan street though where we can find lots of Indian restaurants. Overall it's good hotel.

My family and I just spent five days at this location. The room appeared to be clean. This included the bathroom which is very important to me. On the second night a cookie was left with a note of welcome and a way to constructively complain if needed. One of the days, I got the iron too hot and called the front desk for another as it was scorched. The iron was at my door in less than 10 minutes. The front desk personnel were great and accommodating also.
We utilized the pool. The temperature was just right and I saw the pool maintenance personnel
at the site on at least two occasions.

Last, but not least one of my relatives lost her mouth retainer. Upon letting the staff know that it could have possibly been lost at the hotel, the staff kindly accompanied her to the trash to look for it. Is that caring or not?

I would without reservation give this location of Holiday Inn an excellent rating!

The great location of the Touhy Avenue was the appeal for this Holiday Inn, which is an old format hotel not updated with Holiday Inn's new look. Towels are upgraded, room service is tasty, but slow. Client of mine got two spider bites. The feeling was more like a Motel 6 than a Holiday Inn. Parking spaces were tight because of adjoining banquet center and I am even an IHG special club member who had spots they didn't bother to monitor. Hotel staff was slow and not helpful. The room didn't get cleaned until I requested. It's just not a hotel I'll stay in again unless I have to due to the great location. Very disappointing as I selected and clients went because of my suggestion.

Room Tip: Don't do it unless they remodel!!

We ended up here because our other hotel overbooked & they sent us here. The hotel is about 8 miles from Chicago, which we weren't happy about. But the hotel was nice. They had a sports bar that serve food. This was good for us since we didn't have a car. There were a lot of eating choices in the immediate area. Room was clean & wasn't noisy considering it was sold out for the night. Hot tub was nice. Front desk people were pleasant.

We Stayed for 5 days, overall the room was clean, except the carpet, if you walk on it barefoot then step into the shower, you'll leave black foot prints in the tub. Overall service was good, the parking was not so good. They had 2 events while we were there, during this time there was NO parking available. They have the IHG Rewards spots, they were full as well & on one event someone took up 2 of them by parking in the middle of them. Because the pool is inside, you will smell the chorine of the pool, for me not a problem. It was a good location for us for places to see.
