This is a lovely pub, good food and nice to sit by a real fire. They have just changed their menu and it looks as good as the summer one. Don't understand why this is not full all the time - they staff and owner are very friendly.

Just had an excellent meal at the Four Horseshoes. Great service with friendly staff this bar has a traditional atmosphere although well maintained and furnished. Fantastic rear garden for the summer.

The homemade steak burgers were splendid - great flavour and chunky chips. Food cooked to order so slightly slower than you would want if in a rush but fine with a drink and friends.

I will return!

Good beer, immense meaty burgers and chips like a game of Jenga!
Friendly staff, great local atmosphere and a building that feels that it has provided a warm welcome to travellers across generation, regardless of the season

Fantastic, whether for a refreshing summer drink or a toasty fire-side libation in the middle of Winter.

Good for walkers and cyclists, as it is surrounded by forest, lanes and hills.

There appear to be a lot of interesting events and the is a good sized garden. Can't fault it.

We visited today with our 19 month old son. We extremly dissapointed that this pub does not cater for young diners. No highchairs, childrens menu or baby change facilities. They do have a play area who the waitress was trying to say they accomdate children but clearly don't with nettles around the majority of the back garden. Luckily my wife had a changing mat otherwise my son would have to of had his nappy changed on the ladies loo floor!

As for the food so so- we chose a smaller portion as advised for our son howver overpriced for a childrens meal

Avoid desserts again limited choice and £6.50 for a dessert the size of a bakewell tart a little steep..

Much better eating places than this stay away and avoid at all costs

One of the best steaks we have had in ages - lots of lovely tastes.
The icecreams and deep fried rice pudding are absolutely fabulous.
