Tasted my first Caribbean Lobster ... Very different from our cold water lobster with claws though. Actually preferred the grilled shrimp the best ... Thanks Chef Ivan. What we loved the most was our two servers who visited with us like we were great friends. And the best for last ... The Mojitos!! A bit out of Varadero ... Just remember to use a private taxi in a unique old car and enjoy the ride.

Thank Marilyn H

Staying in a Varadero Hotel, one night we decided to try something different for dinner and a friend recommended El Mojito in Santa Martha, and I am really please we went there.
Excellent food, great service, and nice ambivalence. At the entrance it has a parking, there is also an small terrace outside and also a Bar area in case you need to wait. The meal was well cooked and very well presented. They have a menu with several type of dishes based in Sea Food, Chicken, Pork, Beef or pastas. The service was really nice and the staff very friendly and helpful.

We went 4 times. The last one we were surprised by prices three times more expensive than the previous visits. Normally prices range between 5-7 CUCs.

The last time prices were CUC 15 to CUC 28 depending on the dish!

I asked for a menu for nationals (suspecting of these dishonest practices) and they immediately brought me the same menu but with more reasonable prices. Be careful, they have two menues!

Be careful if you are not Cuban, El Mojito will want to charge you more for the exact same food. Go and enjoy this place, but be awake so you don't pay more than what you have to.

If I would have to choose I would prefer to go to Salsa Suarez in Calle 31st in Varadero. There is more transparency as the menu (international food which is updated every week with new dishes) is the same for everyone and is written in a blackboard visible to everyone.

I hope this review helps.

We came here on 19th May for my wife's birthday with another 2 couples from our hotel in Varadero. We also visited last year with my son, daughter in law and grandson. Food here is traditional Cuban cuisine and cooked to order. The grilled lobster is great as are all the dishes ordered by our group. The actual restaurant is air conditioned and very nicely laid out . There was also live music on this night. If you want to check out good Cuban food give this place a visit.
Probably best to book first and make a reservation as it was packed out on 19th May

Service was great and food delicious, the presentation was just so cute we almost did not want to eat. It was also great to have some Cuban music to listen to as we enjoyed our food and drinks. Speaking of drinks the Mohitoes were great
