Arriving in Sydney at 0610 on a Saturday morning after our 14 hour flight from LAX, we were so happy to have Julian arrive smiling to pick us up at the arrivals area. A short drive and we were at Tara, too early for our rooms of course, but welcomed by Brom and Oscar, their very happy sheepdog host. Breakfast was elaborate, multi-course and excellent, and the room was huge, with a massive bathroom and shower area. It is so wonderful to see walls filled with original art and memorabilia from across the globe, and Tara itself has an amazing history, being listed on the historic buildings roster. Later that AM, Brom gave us a detailed orientation to the Sydney environs, this being our first visit. Her annotated map became our guide for the 4 days of our visit, covering virtually all of the must-see spots with public transport guidance, and after our return each evening, we enjoyed a wonderful rehash of the days events with further suggestions from Brom & Julian over a glass of Australian rose. The bed was huge and very comfortable, the neighborhood loaded with excellent restaurants, very walkable, and such a perfect fit with our needs, even surpassing the numerous excellent previous reviews.
