“vertiginous fun”
Review of Cranmore Tower

Cranmore Tower

taller than the trees, views for miles and miles, and seemingly much higher from above than from below; at £2 it's the best knee-clenching fun to be had for miles around!

Worth a visit if you're in the area and it only costs £2 to go up the tower. There's also a friendly chap selling tea, coffee and cakes.

This was a welcome lunchtime stop on a long walk; beautiful location in woodland but still accessible by vehicle. Very welcoming host who made an excellent cup of tea and great cakes! For £2 you can also climb the tower for great views of the area.

A beautiful walk through the woods,to an amazing towering spire,180 steps to the top,and the the views are superb.on a clear you can see 6/8counties the Brunel river seven bride,Priddy, the Mendips,Quarries, reservoirs and the most beautiful countryside etc, I met the owner, who is the most hospitable host, with a great vision.Good luck to him!
