We have made quite a few trips to JFires since it has opened. I am sorry to say that the
food preparation is not as inspired as it was in the beginning. We have seen the bread change
to white toasted plain loaf bread, not even bakery style, on top of that you have to ask for bread or its not served. (told to us by the waiter). The salad dressing is not mixed well and
it is overly vinegary, at times uneatable. We have said something about this only to see it happen again on several occasions. The mussels which had such a great broth with Ricard is now just plain chicken
broth and tasteless. No hit of Richard noticeable, we noticed because we order it every time.
The last two times, it was missing. Informed the server something has changed and was told
she would ask Jen, the chef, well we were informed nothing was different.
The meals are sometimes very good, like my husbands prime rib, but
others are over cooked or very messy like the barbecue shrimp, which recipe has changed and
is not near as good as before.
We kept going back hoping that the original food would show up and the service, which can
be spotty, would finally work its self out, but nothing has changed for the better, things are
