We stopped for a tour of the winery, and to buy some wine. I loved the fact my 8 year old was able to go through with us - she is homeschooled and it was an interesting way to teach her some history. The garden and waterfall outside was lovely, the aroma was wonderful walking through it. The tour of the winery was not a very big tour, so a little bit less than we expected, but it was free. We purchased some wine and cheese to bring home, and it was overall a fun experience.

We took a group of 5 to the Oliver Winery for a day of tasting and exploring for a friend's birthday. The winery had a wonderful tasting tour for $5 a person. Lots to buy in the gift shop including accessories, wine and cheese. They also had a great band on the large outside decked area which allowed us to sit and enjoy our purchases.

You can only open one bottle of wine per two people.

We have been visiting Oliver once a year for numerous years. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful! Outdoor seating is wonderful! The staff has always been helpful and friendly. The wines are average, but it is still worth it. Oliver allows you to bring your own picnic if you wish. We bring ours every time, and this year sat outside listening to jazz while drinking a decent Cabernet. We will return and finish our visit by staying on the square.

My husband and I decided to stop at one of our favorite spots in Bloomington just to taste a little wine and buy a few bottles. The tasting is always fun and the music on the patio was excellent. We shared a bottle of cold Moscato with some cheese and crackers and thoroughly enjoyed a gorgeous July day in BTown for a nice little day trip! I recommend this spot for visitors to Indiana as well as for Hoosiers looking for a a reprieve from their weekend humdrum. Concerts on the patio during the summer are lovely and something hard to find in the Midwest.
