“Best souvlaki”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

Best chicken souvlaki ! Fast delivery, cute outdoor sitting and very good prices comparing the area.
Don't miss to taste the kebab dish, perfect with a cold beer.

“Best meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

The best meals served in Moschato Athens, Greece, and until yet in the whole of Athens.

Cozy atmosphare, excellent food and wine, also very traditional greek kitchen.
The owner and the staff are polite and good service.
The owner also always explains the (food-)history behind the recipes.

I have visited Athens from Finland only the be able eat here.

“One of the best restaurant/souvlaki in Athens....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2013

Very nicely decorated, that can accomodate both as a restaurant and food to go service....
Huge variety of meats, salads and at the end desserts to make you feel well satisfied...
Very pleasent atmosphere with a variety of customers.
The staff is great and always with a smile.
All and all a very nice experience to eat your greek souvlaki at a normal restaurant.

“Great grill, great food, great times.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2013

OK, so if it happens you are around this small Athenian suburb of Moschato, don't miss out to dine at Ermis. And if you are not, maybe you should concider getting there- time to live like an Athenian, right?

First of all, forget all the touristic cliche that you will come acroos the Greek capital. The area is as real as it can get; real people, a mid-class urban area (convieniently connected by buses, tram and train) just between Athens and Pireaus, with lots of stores, open spaces and everyday greek life. In fact, the walk from the train station to this grill restaurant is a fair example of everyday greek life- loud kids laughing, ladies checking their shopping lists, stores and people working, senior citizens talking outside a big church. It's peaceful and pretty- For me, this is the real spirit of Greece that you won't catch when touring downtown Athens.

This grill restaurant is the best in this small corner of the great city. Cosy, friendly and open on all sides (trust me, during the hot Greek summer you'll thank these guys for having it all open) so the breeze will cool you down while eating traditional gyro in pita with lots of "hot stuff" as they call it (they ask if you want it spicy). And as far as souvlaki goes, this can't get any more traditional- juicy pieces of pork on stick (his meat sticks, or "kalamaki", is the best, ever), oozing cool tzatziki sauce and fresh veggies. And all cooked with olive oil that harvest themselves!

Forget the deep-freezed french fries you are used too. The fries at this place are made when you order them, fresh and cut by hand, crispy and delicious. And, if you are feeling like it, there are many other traditional dishes like deep fried cod on mush with a potatoe-garlicy garnish called "skordalia" that is very popular among the Greeks, plus sea food and spaghetti. Don't miss out the amazing salads, and if I may, think outside the box; forget the "Greek salad" and go for the one with pomegranate, raisin, parmegianno and pine!

Still, the food is not the higlight of this place- that's its' people. Not only the happy, fast service, but the customers also. This family-run grill gathers groups of friends watching the game on the telly (yeah, they got a big screen TV so it is not necessary you'll miss the game when in Athens), young couples smilling and talking softly, families or friends laughing out loud while drinking some sweet, red wine.

Can you do better in Athens? Well, sure there are 5-star restaurants and clubs but honeslty, I can't think of any other place that has all the true "modern greek feeling" with dishes that good and at prices that will make you smile. For about 10 euros, you'll have a great big greek meal at a great greek place.

As they say "When in Athens (!), do as athenians do"... and go for it!
