Description: Rotating over a 100 flavors of hand dipped ice cream, Emery's Premium Ice Cream has been an American tradition since the 50's. Emery's began during the great depression as a family business, tucked away in a residential neighborhood of New Albany, Indiana. Kevin Paul, owner of Alvin's Enterprises' purchased the memorabilia and equipment from the original Emery's store and ... Has recreated the atmosphere of the old-fashioned ice cream shop. Visiting Emery's today evokes the feeling of traveling back in time to the era in which Emery's originated. And it should; not much has changed aside from its new location in Corydon, Indiana. The bar stools, counter, vintage posters art, and most importantly the ice cream bins and soda fountains are all from Emery's original location. You can enjoy the same favorite Emery's homemade flavors that were enjoyed years ago. Visit Emery's today and discover why it has been a favorite for over 60 years!

We have tried taking our three girls there several times because it's "in town". Never again will they get our business. Children are not welcome. These people have no business being in the ice cream business.

Our friends invited us to explore downtown Corydon. It was such a fun small town with many neat shops to stop in. To finish off our day we took our kids (4 & 6) to Emery's and WOW did we have a great time! The old fashioned barrels of candy caught our kids eyes immediately and they had fun checking out each one. They even have little brown bags around the candy for you to stock up on what you want. The prices were cheap and the kids enjoyed taking new candy home to try. And then there was the ice cream!!!! WOW Seriously the BEST chocolate & peanut butter ice cream I have ever had! Even with full bellies from our lunch pit stop around the corner, we all finished our ice creams. The owner was so kind and I liked the feeling of being "back in the days" with him addressing all the ladies as "sis". Oldies were playing over the speakers, and the setup with old fashioned collectable toys had all us adults talking and going down memory lane. We will definitely be making the hour trip back up here again and again!

Emery's ice cream shop is a most unique place. It has a friendly staff, a wide selection of delicious ice creams and a very large number of hard-to-find candies that are simply scrumptious. When in Corydon, this shop is a MUST stop on your visit. Don't miss it!!!!.

The civil war exhibit was fantastic. The ice cream and candy shop felt like another step back in time. The setting of the shop felt like the 1950's. Clean. Great service. Selection was incredible. Price was right. 5 stars from this lover of sweets. They even had the candy I bought 30 years ago at summer camp. *and it tasted as great as it did back then. Chic O Stic! Mmmmmm
