Are you old enough to remember drive-in restaurants, where the waitresses took the orders wearing poodle skirts, on roller skates? If you dine inside, you'll enjoy the entire walls covered with memorabilia including posters, records, school letter jackets, and the list goes on. The era rooms are separated by hanging beads. It is just too cool!
The food is delicious! I love the skinny french fries, which again are a thing of the past. Spanish dogs, onion rings, all those foods you enjoyed at drive-ins you'll probably find at Arnold's.
I like the food, but the top of the list are the chocolate malts. Served like in the past in the silver metal, tall container. They are like a glass and a half. There is no way I can finish one. I almost always leave with a take home cup of at least half of my malt, but I still have to have one!
The juke box is playing all the time the songs of the past. It is just like somehow, time has gone back, and then stopped, and stood still, for a little while, in another time. It's fun to go back to that other time, to live it again, at least for a little while!
