“Perfect Getaway Property in Lovely Location”
Reviewed 21 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Just perfect.
Clean and Lovely appointed House.
Location is quiet and overlooking a nice little marina.
The local pub is two minutes away and the food and staff are great, opposite a little pebble beach and seating area.
The house has a Hot Tub at a very reasonable extra Charge and is Highly recommended.
Nina the Host was perfect in communications and ensuring our stay was just great.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 15 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This house was home from home and was so well equipped (it was actually better than home lol) The hot tub is a must and is so relaxing during the day or even in the evening with a drink. The area is quiet, peaceful and quaint with no overlooking neighbours or noise so what more can any couple or family wish for. Nina the owner was extremely helpful and accommodating also.

Would highly recommend this place for a quiet relaxing break

Booking this house was easy, and staying there was also easy!! A three floored house tucked away in the corner of a small hamlet on the harbor.. When I arrived I was taken aback by the quaintness of my surroundings. The house is very clean and well presented.Good linen on the beds{I slept very well} and all that you might need during a stay.We loved the lights that changed colour in the kitchen, and the decor in the living room.Out side is a small garden area where we watched the little birds by day and the bats by night. One word of warning....there is only one road down to Turnchapel...you have to use the same road to leave !!!

“A quiet, beautiful location and ideal base”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The location of Cattewater View is very good. There is a ferry at Mount Batten that is about 10 minutes away from the village, and takes you straight to The Barbican, Plymouth in minutes. The views around the village are brilliant, displaying lovely views of the marina. The Clovelly Bay Inn, in Turnchapel itself, is a fantastic pub, which is literally a minutes walk from Cattewater View. We really loved the jacuzzi and the privacy in the patio, as we were not overlooked and it was very relaxing. It was also a good place to leave the car as we often used the Mount Batten ferry, or the local buses to travel in the nearby area.

The decor is clean, with good sized bedrooms. The living area was comfortable and Nina was very helpful and communicative, especially as we booked just a week before we arrived. We would recommend this cottage to couples, or families with older children, or just small families.

“the best place to stay at in Plymouth!”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

It was a fantastic experience! if you're looking for a place to stay at in Plymouth, don't think twice - you won't find any better! We only stayed for a few days but really enjoyed it.

The surrounding area is beautiful, colourful cottages with plenty of flowers, a nearby marina, two excellent pubs within less than 5 minutes walking, even cats having afternoon naps in the sun - it all makes you feel like you were abroad on some exotic holiday! very close to water taxi (aprox. 10 minutes walking), which will take you to Barbican in a few minutes.

At the same time, staying at this property you will feel like at home, as you will find there absolutely everything you need - very comfortable beds, two tvs (yes, one in the bedroom), kitchen equipment, towels, even a hairdryer. A top of that there are also a few luxuries - hammock, jacuzzi, a very unique patio garden with about 60 feet tall wall covered with wild flowers to the back of it - it's hard to describe it but it's astonishing! and if you're travelling with little babies, they can safely play on the patio - they won't be able to pull off fake grass and put it to their mouth, plus it allways stays nice and warm, even at night. there's also plenty of little things which make this place different from all the hotel-looking ones, e.g. gold fishes, vintage skis on the wall, fresh flowers waiting for you, to mention just a few. And Nina is very helpfull and will make sure you enjoy your stay, she even offered us to hide all the little decorations so we wouldn't have to worry about it (we were there with a crawling baby).

we really wish we could have stayed there for longer and hopefully will come back in the future.

“pleasant accomodation”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We enjoyed our stay here, the accomodation was very clean and pleasant and Nina is very friendly and communicative. It was good there was milk, tea & shampoo as we had forgotten to buy anything the first day ! Would use again. There is also a first class pub (The clovelly bay inn) a very short walk away that does excellent food. Good value.
