Look, it's not the Ritz. It's not even the Hilton Garden Inn (which is directly across the highway) but the rate is also 1/3 to 1/2 that of other hotels along I-69 in Fort Wayne. The hotel is simple, maybe even a little bland in its decor, but it's very, very clean. And, the service for this price point is among the best I've received anywhere, and I sleep about 6 nights a month in hotels across the country. The Internet access was THE BEST I've had and it was FREE with no annoying sign up page. The bathroom floor was sparking clean. No dust bunnies in the corners or under the bed.The room smelled clean and fresh. The room was QUIET. No hallway noise, no road noise. The heating system worked and was QUIET. There is a recliner in my room that made my evenings because it helped me unwind, de-stress and relax!. Wish more hotels would put recliners in their rooms! The front desk clerks look like they could have been high school students and were a little shaky at check in, but the owner was there to back them up. He asked me EVERY DAY how my room was. He surveys are everywhere, even on the paper sleeve to my room key. He obviously cares about quality service and is doing the best he can. Used the business center off the lobby to print a boarding pass. Worked fine. Only one computer and one printer, could stack up at busy times. Plan accordingly. Some things to expect: A lot of truckers use the hotel and park their rights in the parking lot. Food at breakfast is not great, but then, it's not great at most places and it's free. There is an outdoor pool, which probably doesn't make much sense in Fort Wayne. None of that really matters to me as a business traveler. I am usually a Hilton guy, but my client was paying for this trip and booked me here. I will be back!
