My husband and I were on our way to our daughter's graduation at ISU and decided to add to our trip a stop at the Conner Prairie Museum. The Ivy House is nearby so we booked a room. Our stay was incredibly wonderful.
Owner Linda gave us a tour of the home and shared with us the rich history of the house. We relaxed on the side porch, Hubby working on his laptop, and me enjoying a cup of tea on the porch swing. After dinner in town at a great place Linda recommended, we returned to the Ivy House and sampled one of her yummy brownies that were left for us in the dining room. Breakfast the next day was amazing, with fresh fruit and dip (thanks for the recipe!), egg and ham bake and blueberry muffins.
The house itself is gorgeous, built in the early 1920's with lots of period charm and beautifully decorated with quilts and antiques. Our room had an incredible four poster bed and the bathroom had a sweet antique tub. The home is well-taken care of and immaculate. We love the Ivy House.
