Low quality rooms, not the biggest deal, its the staff, they are the laziest they come, i would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone, if i wanted to get picky, the beds are hard, they dont change the sheets they just make up the bed, but the staff is mouthy, lazy and incredibly rude, im not sure what they get paid to do, but working definitely is not it! If there was a rating lower than one star, i would give it but unfortunately i have to give them one at least.

Room Tip: Choosing the best room is best done by going elsewhere

No rating could be low enough. Torn bed spread, filthy dirty bath tub looks like it has never been scrubbed, filth caked, streaked window, cracked and broken bath sink with cigarette burns. Looked behind the bureau with the TV and it was piled with garbage and dirt and who knows what else. It's never been cleaned or vacuumed back there. I washed the bed head board and the filth was so thick, the wash cloth was caked with brown goo.

Don't get me wrong, the staff seemed really nice, but inaction regarding a complaint is considered as a refusal to rectify the situation. Refusing to either change rooms or get the air conditioner working is inexcusable. It's the middle of summer and the temperature outside is hot. All I got the second time I complained was that the temperature outside had fallen and I should open the window. The location is right at the express way and the noise level would wake a zombie. The outside temperature was 81F and no breeze or wind. With only one window, the outside air would not come in. They refused to let me use one of their fans.

When I stepped out of the room, the housekeeping staff turned off the refrigerator. If I hadn't checked, my food would have gone bad.

On the positive side, the toilet worked and they provided a plunger in each room (how disgusting). Most of the lights worked the microwave and the refrigerator and the shower and tub worked. The other positive is that Motel 6 and Best Western is next door. Either one is a better alternative.

I think my roommate was murdered before I got there but in 4 days, she was never missed and no one ever checked on her.

The best C R England has to offer. After staying 1 week at cr England's travel inn dive , and 3 days next door to home town at motel 6 I arrived at cr England's finest(lol). Home Towne was the best of the 3 but when your rating bug infested , hooker dwelling establishments , the ratings don't go very high. Do yourself a favor and stay 2 doors down at the Best Western.

This property is a good value if/when someone is traveling without children and simply needs a safe and clean place to sleep. Very convenient!

Room Tip: Don't expect a 5-star product for a 2-star price.

owned by cr england trucking co and used mainly to house their students going to their nearby school and over the road training. second and third floors used to house students and first floor rented to public. students go before 6am. rooms are so -so was old super 8 renovated in 2004 i was told but students do care about the place.

no issues with safety as people are often disgruntled with the trucking company as its a big revolving door thats what most of the talk is about there. and company keeps tight lid on actvities there. fairly quiet except when herds of cattle/stampeded of elephants going to class bus at 6am.

strip club next door (old bob evans) but hookers wont be tolerated. some people do actually live there on 1st fl. not near anything except for best western restaurant. stay elsewhere. room cleanliness was below average. i was housed there numerous times during my employment with the the trucking company that owns it. take it from me stay away except if all else is full and only for 1 night.

The hotel is down a winding road (looks like a road to nowhere, lol). Yes, there is a strip club next door, and most of the guests were truck drivers; however, as two single women sharing a room, we had no issues with noise, improper behavior from other guests etc. The room was clean, and everything was very much 'no-frills;' however, the price reflects the simplicity of the facilities. The staff were very friendly and competent. Ironically, it was while we were staying at the ever-popular Quality Inn that we had issues with noisy guests (and even became the victims of laundry theft! I'm not kidding. I left the laundry in the machine to get more quarters, and when I came back, items were missing!)
If you're visiting Hammond and want cheap, no-frills accomodation, this place has it.
