“Great Building, Great Staff, Not sure about the manager..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

We stayed here for GenCon Indy, which is one of the largest conventions to ever hit Indianapolis. We have stayed at this hotel other years and enjoy it. Large rooms, always clean, never any problems with the site. Most of the staff are helpful, courteous and clean. The location is awesome, not too far from the convention center.

The only thing that I didn't like about this trip is that the manager on duty seemed to try to milk us for every penny he could get. We had more than two people staying in each suite. We got two cards per room. When we asked for additional cards he said there was an additional fee of $10.00. I have NEVER been charged for extra keys, especially not that much. Another group asked for additional keys after the day shift left and were given them for NO fee.

The next problem was that We couldn't check in till 4:00pm, understandable enough. When it came time to check out, we wanted to leave our cars at the site until we were done at the convention center at about 3:00pm. We were told that we'd have to pay for that entire day/night's parking of $17.00 or our vehicles would be towed. Considering you can't check in until 4:00pm, what is the problem with us staying a few extra hours?

One minor annoyance that I'd like to mention: The elevators have a voice that says, "Going Down" and other pleasantries. It's nice unless you have a room near it, we hear that dang thing All....Night... Long... I wanted to destroy it.

Next year we may park the majority of our cars in public garages and only ONE car at this hotel for emergencies.

Room Tip: Awesome hotel, just a bit unfriendly on some "policies". Ask for a room away from the ele...

This was a great hotel in Indy. It was perfect for all of us attending our annual Scentsy convention. This hotel is right across the street from Lucas Oil, which was AWESOME!!! My children enjoyed the pool. We did walk to many places downtown and around hotel.
We will stay again, if we come again to Indy. Nice city!!

We stayed for 3 nights during the Brickyard 400. The night we checked in(around 12 am) the front desk clerk put on a hard sell regarding the parking and the lack of safety if we parked it on the street. Well we parked it street side each day we were there and found that all the locals park on the streets too! Saved myself a significant amount in parking fees by not listening to the front desk. That aside we were very happy with the room(a king size bed and pull out) , the breakfast (sausage, eggs and waffles, plus fruits and muffins) and the amenities(decent business area, lounge , bar , indoor pool and weight room). We picked this up by naming our own price on Priceline (100 a night) and turned out to be more than satisfied.

If you are attending a convention at the Lucas Oil Stadium and Convention Center, you must book this hotel! It is right across the street from in (the backside of the hotel) and PERFECT location! We had a 2 queen bed w/pullout sofabed non smoking suite and it was perfect for 5 people! We had plenty of room, a large bathroom, microwave and refrigerator too! There is also an indoor swimming pool and hot tub on site too. We had a good breakfast each morning, and there was a bar for the evening if anyone wanted a drink. The front desk staff was so nice and welcoming and never once said no to any of our requests! I would definitly stay there again and it is HIGHLY recommended!

Room Tip: Our room was one the second level and we had no issues with noise or anything!

We arrived at 3:00 pm which was the check in time and was told to come back in an hour. When we came back about and hour and 10 minutes the lobby was jam packed full of people checking in. We didnt get in until around 5:00. I asked the girl at the desk if we could check out a little later since we didnt check in at the check in time and her answer was "NO!" Not even a im sorry maam we cant do that or im sorry you couldnt check in on time, but just "NO!" I thought she was rude. I didnt like that. The room was good sized saw a couple hairs on the sheets. Kinda freaked me out. I booked it through hotwire, maybe thats why she was rude. Hey if you dont want to use a third party, dont block out rooms for it.

We arrived late in Indianapolis about 7pm on July 5th. The front desk clerk, Jason, was very professional, friendly and competent. The room was $118 for a king size bed, it had a mini- kitchen with utensils, salt and pepper and a full sized coffee pot, very nice. It had a sitting/tv area. Then separately, behind two french doors, there was the bedroom area, vanity and bathroom. Both were very clean and comfortable. I was surprised at how spacious, and well tended this room was. Extra's they offered but didn't have time to enjoy were a pool, a small theatre, and a reading/ couch area. I did enjoy the full breakfast! The morning clerk was exceptionally friendly and I wish I had caught her name to thank her. I would definitely recommend to someone wanting a good clean, solid, comfortable and friendly place to stay.

There were seven couples who spent Friday and Saturday night here during a five day motorcycle ride. The hotel staff, especially Martha Longfellow, were very helpful. The rooms were great, very clean and well kept. The location is very convenient to downtown, most places were within walking distance including the huge four story mall with the cinema and arcade available inside. They also allowed us to park more than one bike in a space which allowed us to save on parking. The hot tub and pool were open, clean, and usable.
