“Breathtaking!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

A gem in the Midwest. The grounds are incredibly beautiful! The Hundred Acres make it possible to enjoy the beauty of nature while exploring sculptural installations. And the museum itself is well designed. The permanent and traveling exhibits are impressive. Just lovely! We'll worth a visit! And, the staff are friendly and helpful.

“Worth the stop!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014 via mobile

Looking for something to kill time we decided to stop here. What a wonderful place. A free art museum, free country manor to explore, beautiful gardens and the flowers and trees blooming. Lots of art from all over the world donated by local philanthropists. My favorite was the European gallery, but all areas had neat things to see. The glass and textile galleries were closed for renovation, however it would be worth it to stop again when they are open. Take time to walk the gardens. And the 5$ parking reminded us of the Getty. :-) The country manor Oldfield reminded us of a scaled down Versailles.

I love to go to this Museum. The ambience is great. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. On a nice day, you can stroll the 100 acre Nature and Art Park - great for kids to run and play.
