The Indiana Historical Society is a not a large museum but has very nice exhibits on display throughout the year. The center is located within walking distance of the NCAA Hall of Champions, the Indiana State Museum, the Eiteljorg Museum, the Indianapolis Zoo, White River Gardens and Victory Field, home of the Indianapolis Indiana.

This museum does a fabulous job of taking you back in time by recreating scenes from the past with live actors. They do a fabulous job of answering questions and remaining in the time period.

Changing exhibits - always very well done. Especially liked the one on Prohibition.

If you are into history this is a great stop. There isn't much for kids to when its not the holiday season. Older kids may like some displays. The Christmas Story display was great!
