“Very nice facility, but exhibits a bit boring”
Reviewed 30 December 2011

We went to see Amazing Maize, but were a bit disappointed. Nice enough exhibit, but thought it would have been more engaging based on what I had read on the museum website.

“So Much Space, More Can be Done”
Reviewed 30 December 2011

The museum has a lot of empty spaces. Why is it that whenver people talk about native americans, only rokcks and geology are displayed?
I thought Michael Jackson was born in Indiana? All those artifacts of Jacko,You could do better Indy.
The only well utilized space was the one dealing with corn.
All in all, the museum is woth visiting to highlight the level of deficany and to ignite some more donations in terms of artifacts and display.

“Indiana History”
Reviewed 22 December 2011

Great place to learn about Indiana history. My favorite part was the inventions by Indiana natives. There is also an Imax theater in here.

“Very Interesting Museum”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

This is a fascinating museum. Big tall glass windows look out on the restored canal. In the summertime you can rent boats to up and down the canal. The museum has just enough and not too much info, galleries, etc on Indiana history. Lots of stuff I didn't know about. We took my dad to see the Shakleton photos. (explorer who got caught in the ice in the antartic). Stunning photos. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. He is 91 and we needed a wheelchair for when he got tired or long hallways. At the end the museum guard walked him in the wheelchair to the car and took the chair back for us. Very pleasant staff. Good place to go - be inside for awhile and then go for a walk along the canal.
