I was very impressed as soon as I was greeted by the volunteer tour guide and entered the house. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered our questions thoughtfully. It gave me a better insight of the many things President Harrison did during his term and the personal side of him and his family and how they lived during that time. I took my 76 yr old mother and my two daughters (ages 13 and 19) and they enjoyed it very much! This tour is definitely something the whole family will enjoy!

Great for history or presidential buffs. Through the efforts of the society and the Harrison family most of the items in the house actually belonged to the Harrison's when they lived in the house which is somewhat unique. What made this tour really stand out was that it included 90 percent of the house and you walk through most rooms. There was only one room "roped off" and that was to protect the original carpet! The tours are led by volunteers but they are very knowledgable and it is obvious they care a great deal for the house. A great family experience for those over the age of five.

This was our first stop on our family vacation. The house tour is really nice - you get to go into more rooms than the average house tour. HUGE house and then there are the grounds and carriage house out back. Great tour. Very informative. We went from here to the grave site that was a few miles away. It is well tended. The same cemetery has a lot of famous (or infamous) people buried there - we stopped at John Dillinger's grave while we were there - interesting contrast!

My family (myself, wife, mother-in-law, 4 children ages 17,14,9,7) travels every summer. We have visited many presidential homes. This was our last stop on a 19 day 9 state trip across our great country. The house and tour were excellent. Tours are on the hour and half hour. We had a very knowledgeable recent college grad (Purdue) as our tour guide. She did a nice job taking us through all 3 floors of this house for the 90 minute tour. She knew the answers to everything that we asked and she was also funny with our young children. I loved that we were able to walk into just about every room in the house, most of the rooms were not roped off. A lot of the furnishings were original from the Harrison's. It really was a very thorough tour with some interesting pieces, collections and information. Our tour guide also had a lot of information on Harrison's grandfather, William Henry Harrison. This is a tour not to be missed if you enjoy history and presidential homes.

Beautiful home, as previous trip advisors said, lots of interesting and original items that belong to Pres. Harrison and his family. You get to visit all three floors of the house and actually walk though the rooms for up close look. Makes you feel like you really new them.

We have been though many Presidential homes and this is one of our all time favorites.

Also there is a garden planted with several different varieties of antique peonies, some date back to the 1800's. They show how old each different variety is. They are not in bloom now, but still very interesting.

The guided house tours start at 10:00 and are on the hour and half hour and very reasonable, seniors $8.00, free parking.
