The President Benjamin Harrison Home is a great stop for anyone interested in American history. Furnished in period furniture, the house itself is a great period piece. But it also has the original desk that Harrison used in the White House, and not in the oval office since the oval did not exist then! His office also has an original document signed by President Abraham Lincoln. Upstairs you can see Harrison’s bedroom including the bed where some of his children were born and where he passed away. On the third floor, there is a large ballroom filled with exhibits and displays that are worth a look. There is a small parking lot behind the house accessible off East 13th street. Tours are $8 and worth it.
