“If you love aviation, motors, and their systems...”

this lovely museum is Nirvana! With all of the history of Allison Engineering laid out, from the beginning through the V motors that helped win WW2, through the jet age and their joining with Rolls-Royce to carry on through the future, this is an amazing place to spend a few hours! Along with the Allison engines, the prettiest Rolls-Royce Merlin I've ever seen is on display; there are cut-away engines that motor through to demonstrate things; displays of Allison transmissions that have powered everything from tanks to city buses; Allison's ventures into turbine technology for cars; Rolls-Royce's engines from WW2 through the Harrier program; helicopter turbines; one wonderful display after another! I was lucky enough to find a reference to it in a hotel room tourism guide and am so very glad I did!
