“It was just OK because of noise and hassels”
Reviewed 1 April 2013

I stay in Indy a lot for business. I now stay at this place due to my company pays for it. I have stayed on several trips now and I am not impressed. Elevator is the slowest I have ever experienced. The rooms are big and have an apartment look to them. They have a small kitchen area, with a fridge and dishwasher. The beds are comfy and has very high ceilings. Nice televisions and sitting area like a small living room. I have noticed the carpets are very stained and in every room. Not just one I have stayed in. Most of the rooms I have been in are on the side of the alley beside the hotel. Very noisy from party goers on the street and you here beer bottles clanking after the bars close down near the hotel. They have welcome home dinners and breakfast that are complimentary. The food is very poor quality. They do serve beer and wine as well during dinner. There are a lot of families stay here and you can hear everything going on in the next room. Kids crying has been my experience. Maybe that is why the beer and wine might be a good choice for sleep. The hotel has its problems with your door key and internet service. If you stay more than one night you have to get the room key re-done. The internet re connected with the front desk. They are not friendly to smokers. I know it is a non-smoking property but they dont like when you smoke outside in front of the hotel. You have to go down the street to smoke. They have valet service at a price. It is conveinent to the Stadium and the Circle Center mall as well as fine resturaunts near by. I dont love staying here but I have to for now. :(

Room Tip: for a quiet room ask for an inside room not close to the elevators. Not close to family rooms.

We stayed in the is hotel when attending a Pacers game with out grandchildren. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional. The room was very nice and spacious. Loved the high ceiling. The managers meal in the evening was a little slim, but what was there was very good. Breakfast was excellent. Would definately stay again

This was the second time I've stayed at this particular Homewood Suites with my family of five (our youngest is now 11). I’ve lodged at other Indianapolis hotels, but my summation is that this hotel is a unique combination of a family friendly establishment in a downtown location. The selling points for us are the roomy and comfortable suites (and for me especially, the cleanliness of the suites), the friendly and accommodating staff, and the breakfast buffet (although not “haute-cuisine”, ample and varied). My kids get such a kick out of the uniqueness of the décor (a nice respite from the run-of-the-mill family friendly hotels for us adults) and the pool (again, not “haute-piscine”, but sufficient). As for cost, both times I was able to reserve the room for below market rates. This hotel will continue to be our go-to place for our mini-family vacations to Indianapolis.

I'm in Indianapolis for overnight stays 3 times per month, and only recently discovered this gem. Gorgeous suites with somewhere north of 12 foot ceilings in each room. Incredibly comfortable. Only nit is the breakfast. The good news is it's free. The bad news is the hot offerings are typically awful for my tastes. It's as if someone has a relationship with an onion distributor, because breakfast burrito day is practically a pita wrapped around an onion, and when scrambled eggs are offered, big chunks of onion can be found throughout. Not the breathe I want to have for days of meetings.

This hotel is right in the middle of most of the night clubs in downtown Indy. It is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a hotel that is central to many of the night time hot spots, yet the hotel is quiet and classy. You may walk to the mall and Monument Circle very easily. Lots of great places to eat are nearby, especially the Old Spaghetti Factory which is right across the street from the hotel. This was our second stay at this hotel and we will be returning again!

You are going to be shocked when you see your room. Our son said "I want to stay here for a long time!) It is very spacious, with really high ceilings. I would guess they are 15 feet high--not sure. We loved this place and it was really comfortable. We got a really good group rate which made it even better for how nice it was. You can walk to the Circle Monument or any number of places in just minutes. Easy to get in and out because it's not one of those enormous hotels. I will never stay anywhere else in Indianapolis again.
