Came for sporting event and this hotel was a block from the Bankers Life Arena. It is also close to the Convention Center, Shopping, Dining, various Museums and the Capital. The suites were very comfortable, the breakfasts varied and filling and teh Manager's Receptions in the Evening were adequate if you did not want to go out for dinner. If that was not enough, the kitchens in the room are available, but you have to find a grocery or stop at the gift shop to buy some entrees.

The Homewood Suites in downtown Indy is in the wholesale district which means lots of great restaurants and more are nearby. The convention center is just three blocks away and the walk down the center pedestrian mall on Georgia Street makes the distance negligible. The staff was uniformly excellent--welcoming and service-oriented at every turn. The only negatives were a mediocre breakfast (scrambled eggs would be better described as crumbled) and an inexplicably high shower head which could not be adjusted by a woman of average height.

Room Tip: Many of the rooms look in on an interior shaft--the only way to see sunlight is a narrow window in the bedroom. Do not take 302, 402 or 502. What it lacked in sunlight it made up for in comfort and space.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Indianapolis location. It's in an amazing 1800's brick building, with some of the brick walls exposed and very high ceilings exposing the old steel beams. The staff were great and attentive (love the doormen!) and the complimentary breakfast and dinner really can't be beat. Free wine and beer - wow!

This hotel is a beautiful renovated 1898 building. The decor is a combination of modern and historic that works perfectly. We were amazed when we entered that lobby with the 20 - 30 foot ceiling with decorative tin tiles in the ceiling. Our room was large and beautifully furnished. The bed was so comfortable; everything was spotless. The breakfast was the best "included" breakfast we have ever had with a huge selection of delicious breakfast entrees. And the staff who greeted us on our arrival and the morning breakfast servers were very friendly and helpful. They also have a swimming pool which we did not use because we were visiting Indianapolis for the National Band Concert Festival. Our family is looking forward to visiting again.

Not real appealing from the outside, we were a little worried when we pulled up, but once inside we found it to be very nice! We traveled in a group of 8 and had 4 rooms for everyone to share. The rooms were huge, clean and nice! They all had a small kitchen with a full size fridge, sink and microwave. Countertop with cupboards and dishes! Nice couch and table with chairs, 2 tv's. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. I like the fact that this place is located near some if the best bars and restaurants in Indy. Much better to be a close walk home from the Howling Moon or Tilted Kilt than the convention center! The convention center was a quick 5-7 min walk away.
