We live fairly close and for a birthday or celebration, Kobe usually ends up being our pick. There is just something fun about sitting around the grill watching your food be prepared with flair. We've been several times over the years, but are some things I've noticed at Kobe in Jeffersonville, the sushi is always great, the service is always good, the food always tasty. What varies is the grill chef, some are great performers with charm, flair, and skill, some, are not. We had one the other night that mentioned that he was "always working while everyone else was having fun" he wasn't much fun for us, maybe he was tired or maybe bored with himself, not sure what it was but he cooked the food and it tasted good. The sauces were new this time a different flavor than before, I wondered if he used the "wrong" ones or "new" ones?
We'll go back, but perhaps a weekend night might be more flair, we'll be looking for a good chef and maybe excuse ourselves if it is him again.
