My husband and I came for our 5th anniversary. We loved our beautiful room and really enjoyed the hospitality of Steve and Carol. This Bed and Breakfast is so close to so many attractions you would need more than just a weekend to fit it all in. It was wonderful to come back to such a cozy place after being out all day touring Jeffersonville and Louisville. We would absolutely come here again!

My wife and I used to live in Southern Indiana - a long stone's throw from the Market Street Inn - and we know from years of observation what kind of lodging is available in that part of the country.

We moved from the Louisville, Kentucky metro area to Hawaii in 1988 and since then have been on an odyssey that has taken us from Greenville, Indiana to Oahu, to Northern Kentucky, to Atlanta, and back to Northern Kentucky.

Along the way, we stayed at many commercial lodging chains and learned that a top notch B&B the best of all places to stay when you are away from home. But a really outstanding B&B is a rare find - a 1 carat diamond hiding among piles of costume jewelry.

Steve and Carol Stenbro's Market Street Inn located in Jeffersonville, Indiana is such a place - a B&B that sparkles with charm, a laid back attitude and a feeling that the innkeepers see you as not a commercial guest, but rather as long lost friends who wandered in from a hectic world and are in need of some pampering and personal attention.

When you walk in the front door, Steve and Carol meet you and immediately begin making your visit memorable. A tour of the Inn follows and your breakfast order for the next day is taken. "What would you like? "Are you sure there isn't something else you'd Like? "When would you like us to have it ready?" And so on.

Next comes a tour of the Inn, complete with an introduction to photos on the wall of no less a personage than a President of the United States who once enjoyed the Stenbro's hospitality.

You're introduced to your pre-chosen room, (excellent, spacious and charming no matter which one you choose), located on one of the three floors that make up the Inn. And you're invited to make your way up to the roof-top sitting area or to partake of the front porch in the evening after your day is done.

Steve will regale you with stories aplenty and both Carol and Steve will make certain that your every need is taken care of.

A short walk finds you at the Ohio River and a row of restaurants. And if you want to walk a bit farther, you can visit downtown Jeffersonville, home to Schimpf's Confectionery, purveyor of homemade candy since 1891 and sellers of to-die-for chocolates.

Two bridges exist within a half mile of the Market Street Inn and within literally a couple minutes you can be in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky, enjoying the fine dining, first class night life and countless tourist attractions that city has to offer.

Whether you are traveling for business, pleasure, or just looking for a romantic getaway with your significant other, you cannot do better than the Market Street Inn.

On a scale of 1 to 10, It's a 12.

7/8/12 Spent one night but could have stayed longer. Great rooms...terrific bathrooms comparable to 5 star hotels..jacuzzi, too. Unusual for even the best restored inns. Lovely breakfast. Yum. Just across bridge from Louisville. Host showed us great bike trails. Walk to about 5 restaurants. Thinking about going back in the fall when we can use the fireplace.

You can see the I-65 bridge over the Ohio from this nicely restored 140 year old home. Short walk to riverfront eateries with nice view of Louisville. Comfortable room, good bathroom, comfortable bed, wifi, good off street parking and made to order breakfast of top quality. If you appreciate a top quality rennovation with warm hospitality then you will love the MSI.

My husband enjoyed the service quality. Very quiet neighborhood and convinient place. They served breakfast at very early morning as he had to be at work very early. Feels like home. It's not far from the park where you can enjoy the view of louiseville, ky and creamy ice cream across of the park. What a great location and you don't have to worry any noises distraction at night.

Room Tip: Rooms are clean, breakfast provided based on your schedule, very conviniet, great neighborhood and q...
