We came across this B&B when we were looking for somewhere unusual to stay for one night in Holland. It is in beautiful countryside just under an hour north of Amsterdam. The owners have built up an incredible collection of retro modes of transport and turned their home into a living museum and guest house. Wherever you turn there is something fascinating to look at and their passion and attention to detail is clear. As well as a room for the night, you are given a tour of the farm and collection, which is well worth the visit in itself.
We stayed in the American and British Tram, which is big enough for four people and consists of two carriages connected together. Each tram is themed according to the country (Italian, French, US, UK and Mexican) and everything in it is in keeping with the theme, right down to breakfast. This was left in the fridge of our tram and was amazing. Donuts, rolls, bread, cheese, yoghurt, eggs, a platter of fruit and juice. We also had a coffee machine, kettle and small hob in the kitchen area, so we could prepare our own meals, should we want to.
I can't recommend this place more. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and it is very peaceful. We had space to sit outside and the children had plenty of room to play in the grounds with the owner's two friendly dogs.
