We have been going to The Hare and Hounds for many years and were very disappointed to learn it had deteriorated after the owners Jane and Jago had left for the John O'Gaunt in Sutton. However reading the updates from recent diners we decided to lunch here today, June 25th. Everything was lovely. The welcome, the decor, tables beautifully laid and the whole atmosphere very pleasant. The menu is short but something for everyone. We ordered olives and two soft drinks while we decided what to have which was a risotto for my partner and a terrine for myself for starters and sausages and mash and pork belly as main causes. All were beautifully cooked and presented served by two young, smiling waitresses. Yes, The Hare and Hounds has had it's problems since Christmas due to the succession of tenants the brewery deemed fit to put in there, but now all that has changed and the new tenants are superb. Go and enjoy, once again, this lovely country pub/restaurant and spread the word just how good it now is.
