I've heard about this place at work, but a while had gone by before I made a stop here. It sits in a quiet residential neighborhood a couple of blocks west of a main drag (Washington St.) through town. While "Hawg" would create instant thoughts of pork offerings, the owners have dutifully graced the interior with nice Harley-Davidson memorabilia; they are serious fans. They're are also serious about the food they serve. It's a clean, cozy place with a small seating area. It is a family run place (and very family friendly), adding to a pleasant atmosphere overall. I've come here several times before reviewing and the food is GREAT. The baked beans alone are mouthwatering. The Cuban sandwich is an intersection of flavors for my taste buds. The meat (brisket, pulled pork, chicken) is so tender and juicy and delightfully smokey, and the homemade sauces are bold and tangy. This place is somewhat of a secret but stays busy with nonstop carry-outs. It's a Kokomo gem that sparkles. Very worth a stop. Spread the word.
