Owner description: This former benedictine abbey was founded during the 8th century. It used to be a bishop see from 1317 to 1789, after which, it was abandoned until it was listed as Historical Monument during the 1840s.Discover the 14th century cloister with its sculpted capitals, the former cathedral with all its decorations, and also the Master of Cabestany's sculptures (12th century).Following which, you can visit the former fortified village which has kept its medieval character.

... not much else to see. You can do the visit in about 20mn. The church and the cloister are the only 2 things to see. I don't regret visiting it but i won't be recommending the detour either.

“Worth a visit if nearby”

This is a nice abbey to visit if you are passing by or reasonably near. Not much to it but interesting nonetheless. Items in the shop are a little expensive for what they are. Roadworks in the town make it a little hard to find and the signs disappear so you have to guess where it is - just go to where the steeple is.
