We were so disappointed with our rental of the 700 series cabins we rented for a large family vacation. We stayed one night and did not finish our trip. So much was wrong, I have to make a list so that someone else doesn't have the same experience we did. We were promised a full refund, but have not received it yet.

1. The cottages were full of insects, including a colony of fruit flies living in the kitchen sink.

2. Bathrooms were filthy, from the feces floating in the toilet to the mold growing on the shower door to the stained tub to the cracked faucet to the rusted over a/c registers.

3. One of the mattresses had a large bloodstain on it.

4. After crawling on the carpet, my daughter and nephew had black hands and feet.

5. The promised basic cable and internet did not work.

6. There was so much mold and dust that my husband and niece woke up with red, puffy eyes.

7. A cracked sewage pipe outside the cabin emanated an awful stench.

7. The amusement park itself was run down and dingy and the food was awful and expensive.

The front desk was nice about it, almost like they expected us to complain, but they just couldn't make up for the long drive we made out there and the family vacation that didn't happen. We were promised a full refund, but were sorely disappointed. Do yourself a favor and find a different resort.

Spent the day here for a family trip. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the park. Paint was chipped on everything. We were there later in the evening and there were very few lights on. As we were leaving we saw a storage shed that was completely lit up. It could be a neat, nostalgic place but it needs some serious work. The employees were not very friendly either. I said thank you after each ride and not one replied or even smiled.

Time has not been kind to this place. The ownership has not tried to keep it up to date at all. I think they no longer notice the lack of paint, the bug encrusted fixtures, the odor of the trash or their junk that they store in plain sight. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because it has that boardwalk feel and personality that will remind you of a time long, long ago.

Oh yeah, lots of rides they do not even try to open or run, including the brand new climbing wall.

Well let's start with $103.00 for two adults and three kids. That's with a $30.00 discount for staying @ the crappy campground attached to the park. That the main shower house / restroom was closed down and you had to use the other smaller one. So back to the park "DISAPPOINTMENT"...Ten rides not working Friday night or Saturday. The log ride smelled like sewer. This place was just so dirty and has not been updated in a long time. All the employees where very nice just to say one good thing. And my kids had a lot of fun but there young. Just say n I guess it was a waste of money. I'm sure there are other nicer and cleaner parks for the $

I have been to Indiana Beach many times over the past 20 years and it is definitely showing some wear and tear. The park was originally built in the 1940's and is pretty much an old fashioned amusement park with a boardwalk adjacent to Lake Shafer in Indiana.

The good news is that my kids always have a great time riding the rides and exploring the park. The price of admission was a relatively cheap $28.00, which is significantly less than what you will spend at most amusement parks. The lines were very short and the roller coasters that were operating were fast and exciting. I guess at the end of the day my kids had a good time and that is the most important thing about visiting Indiana Beach.

The down side of visiting this park is that it is definitely showing it's wear and tear. Several of the attractions were shut down including one of the largest roller coasters. The water park, which has to be over 40 years old was only partially operational. Two of the main slides weren't operating and the others were old and deeply stained from the water pumped thru the facility. I personally wouldn't pay to use this water park and would just stick to the rides.

The boardwalk was definitely showing signs of its age with cracked pavement. Many of the lights on the rides were burned out and most of the decorative lighting along the boardwalk had either bulbs missing or lights that were burned out. Many of the structures were desperately in need of a coat of paint and a good cleaning. Some areas of the park have essentially been abandoned including the mini-golf course that is now grown over with weeds. Many of the attractions like the car ride were operating at a reduced level since many of the cars were not operational. Over the course of the day the crowd tended to get pretty dirty as there just wasn't a consistent program for dealing with trash pickup, etc.

The food choices are pretty minimal and consist of normal carnival type food like hot dogs and sodas. There was a pretty good taco stand on site that did brisk business. Overall we go to Indiana Beach because we have been going for years and have had some good memories. That being said I think it is hard to imagine that this place will remain operational absent some significant investment in the infrastructure including repairing existing rides and shutting down the eyesore of a water park.
