Once we arrived , it was clear that we made the perfect choice. The stunning beauty of the Kambos citrus gardens surrounded by high stone walls, nestled in these gardens delicate old stone cottages and the tranquility of the surrounding area were more than we had expected.
The rooms were nice, neat and clean. Serving us a nice breakfast each day with Katherina’s home made jams cakes and cookies, and fresh orange juice from the citrus garden, Yannis and Katherina, best hosts ever, made us feel at home through our one week of stay in Krini
Yannis, being a sailor is a very good guide giving us the weather and wind report every morning so we could spend our day effectively in the best beaches of the island. İt was fun to take walks in Kambos in the afternoons. . The old part was a maze of narrow passages not more than 3 meters wide, finding our way was like solving a puzzle for us every afternoon .
Feeding the chickens, birds and the sheep every morning. for our 7 year old daughter Kayra, it was like spending a week in her grandparents house, who spoke another language than her own.
We would like to thank once more to this lovely couple Yannis and Katerina whom we feel now like close relatives in Chios, for their priceless effort to protect, the historic beauty, of the old stone cottage and the effort to sustain the citrus gardens.
We look forward to being in Krini again.
