“No hair please”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

Third time at what is advertised as the best meal in Indiana. The thrasher meal had plenty of food and ham, chicken, and dressing were outstanding. Problem was the addition of someone's hair in the beef and noodles. This was pointed out to the kind waitress who promptly replaced the contaminated items. Also pointed out at the time of payment and response was, "Sorry to hear that." My wife pointed out several issues with cleanliness from wet dishes, dirty floor, cob webs, and stained waitress uniforms. I suppose you can't expect more from a Restaurant Barn, but you should if you are the best in Indiana.

“Bland, Over-Priced Lunch”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

We tried lunch on a Saturday from the ala carte menu. I had the beef noodles (over mashed potatoes) and my wife had the vegetarian shepherd's pie (not because she's a vegetarian but because it seemed to be the best of the limited options). The beef noodles tasted OK but there were only a very few very small pieces of beef. It was mainly a large serving of bland carbs. The shepherd's pie was an interesting mix of several vegetables but it would have been much better with lamb or beef. The shoo-fly pie was surprisingly tasteless and the chocolate cream pie had more milk flavor than chocolate. All in all, meal was a few of dollars of carb-heavy ingredients turned into a $30 lunch tab. We would never go back.

“When was the last time you ate family style?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014

Threshers dinner was a great way to enjoy a family style dinner. The food was good, there was plenty for all & our server couldn't have been nicer. We had a nice view of the property & enjoyed watching a peacock showing off his plumage. This was part of our weekend package. Don't miss trying a slice of their pie!

“Wonderful food for Mother's Day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

Arrived at the restaurant about 12:30 pm and even though they were busy we were seated within 10 minutes. In stead of the Thresher's meal, they had all the same food but set up as a buffet instead of family salad. Everything was good and hot and the pie was delicious as usual.

“Nice place but a little touristy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014

Great food served family style. A little pricey but worth a stop if your in the area. Check out the crafter's show the last weekend in June. Haven't done the shows but the tour of the farm is a lot of fun. While your there make sure to browse thru the gift shops. The food to take home is wonderful but a little expensive. Head in to town for better deals.
