It is a dated facility but we found it to be very clean and in good repair. We reserved a block of rooms for friends and their families and everything went very smoothly with the reservations. It was great to have a block of rooms together instead of being scattered all over the hotel as often happens. We picked this hotel because of the activities available for kids on-site. The pool was in good shape and there were lots of chairs and even tables available in the pool area. The rest of the recreational facilities were very tired looking (tennis courts, playground, basketball goal, miniature golf, and shuffleboard) but the kids didn't seem to mind and nothing was broken. It was also nice not to have to go to the desk to get equipment because all the equipment was stored nearby. The food isn't anything to write home about but it was convenient and service was faster than at other places where we took our large group. We used the dining facilities mainly because we had vouchers from having booked our block of rooms on a special deal. I was also surprised at how quiet it was at night considering how full the hotel seemed to be, and how many large groups of friends and family (like ours) were there for the weekend.

Our daughter was married at the Brown County Inn, June 2014. Perfect. I can not say enough about the staff there - helpful, friendly, professional. The setting down by the creek was beautiful and Town Hall couldn't have been better. The food was delicious - I have to recommend the ham! The rehearsal dinner was there the evening before the wedding. We had dinner under the big tent, poolside. Both families have lots of young children and the Brown County Inn has plenty to keep them occupied. Big outdoor areas to play; the wedding party played sand volleyball, horseshoes and putt-putt.
Our rooms were clean, beds comfortable and air conditioners stayed on instead of cycling on/off all night! The location is convenient to the state park and downtown Nashville. I have only seen a few of the photographer's pictures from the wedding (it's only been 2 days), but the trees and the bridge over the creek made for beautiful pics!
I do not have a single complaint or suggestion for the Brown County Inn. I have never been anywhere that had a more helpful or friendlier staff.

Room Tip: We had a few rooms, but suite 109 was a godsend for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in. Ther...

We have stayed at the Brown County Inn many times and will be going back soon. The staff, lead by manager Kris, is friendly and helpful. We had a mix up with our rooms (we needed a handicapped room) and Kris got us new rooms that were ajoining AND one of the handicapped before my husband had a chance to onload the car! The restaurant staff is very friendly as well and their food is tasty. We had the fried chicken and LOVED it! Everyone we encountered was friendly, chatty and helpful. If you are planning a trip to Brown County, stay at the Brown County Inn! They have great specials all year round!

We rode to Nashville on our bike and stayed here. The room was clean, comfy bed, and excellent staff. We had a "do not disturb" sign on our door but housekeeping went out of their way to find out what room the bikers were in and left towels outside our room with a friendly note saying it was to wipe down our bike since it had rained that morning. I would not only recommend this inn to people who ride but anyone at all that visits Nashville.

Fantastic staff ....restaurant buffet was good and hot.....rooms were in need of some renovations but overall it was at least clean. Within walking distance of the shopping. If you are looking for a motel without all the bells and whistles...good value for the price.

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times in the past 25-30 years. Nothing ever seems to change. We just were there last week, and 'never again'. The bathroom was recently renovated, but the rest of the room has not been, except we were told the airconditioner was a 'new one'. The electric outlets are the originals, and no one had cleaned/vacumned the area under the desk in weeks or months, and the junction box and cords were very cluttered and probably didn't meet fire code (maybe there isn't one in Nashville). Maybe 'old' equals 'quaint' at this inn, but there are better places nearby. We looked at a suite at the Hidden Valley Inn on our departure, and that is probably where we'll try next time. Even the Comfort Inn and Salt Creek Inn looked like they might work for us. We had chosen the Brown Co. Inn because of past familiarity, and that it is in walking distance to downtown Nashville. For this trip that was important because I had to leave my wife and go to an event in Columbus, and she has a walking problem. We compromised, ignored some of the reviews here, and were sorry. I suspect some of the '5' ratings are fake. This place just isn't that great.
The "Seasons" Inn is apparently owned by the same people, and I think it has lost its Sheraton franchise, so look out for that one too.
During our second evening we found the air conditioner squeeking, and called for maintenance. The AC was 'one of our newer ones' and had 'just been given maintenance'. The evening maintenance guy came at the beginning of his shift (10 pm), with a cup of coffee in hand. He proceeded to tell us he would have to move us, or take the AC back to the shop the next day. Neither of these were satisfactory as we were checking out the next morning, and didn't relish a pack up and move at 11 pm at night. I think a can of WD-40 would have solved the problem for the night, but he wouldn't do anything, even try it. I think he should be replaced for his customer service attitude, or lack thereof. Our answer was to turn the unit off for the night and try to keep warm.
Beware of the reviews that give this place a high ranking. It may be cheaper than some of the newer places, but cheap does not equate to nice.

Room Tip: We and another couple stayed in 100 and 102, right at the front entrance. This was done mostly beca...
