We were booked on the old side. The carpet was not very clean. The rooms need updated. Our air conditioner was not working, so we were moved across the hall. Ate breakfast in the dining room. The chairs were dirty, had to sweep crumbs off before sitting down. The buffet was nothing special, food was cold. Don't be fooled by the website pictures.....

There are good and bad points to this "lodge". There is a rustic feel which we normally enjoy. Basically you need to request a room in the newer section. The new rooms come with a room number in the 3000's. It is the only section of rooms that has an elevator for accessibility. Otherwise, you need to lug suitcases up a flight of stairs. Also, the elevator is like a labyrinth (seriously!) especially if you try to locate the second floor 2000 rooms from the elevator.....it's impossible, by the way (and the front desk clerk is rude about it). The other good thing about the 3000 rooms is they include a frig and micro. The older rooms do not (even thought there's plenty of room for them). There is no price discount for the older rooms either. The price wouldn't be bad if it came with all the amenities they advertise. Details: The main lobby and older section of rooms have a moldy and musty smell and needs some serious updating. The rooms still have a regular "key" to unlock the doors. There is a deadbolt but the door frames looked beat up and chunks of wood missing. The doors could've been easily kicked in if a stranger really wanted into the room. The walls are like paper. We went to sleep at midnight to the sound of a basketball bouncing and people roaming up and down the halls. It was very loud the first night. Better the second, but it could've been we were very tired that night! The room seemed clean. My kid's socks were not after walking around the room but the bath area and beds looked and smelled clean. The beds were like boards to sleep on. The bath towels were like paper towels. The cleaning staff was extremely nice. The breakfast was fabulous as was the staff. The dining area is "dated" but the food was great. My kids ate several plates of the full breakfast buffet. The potatoes are out of this world good! The catch to the breakfast is, only two free breakfasts per room. Kids meals are under $5 so it was well worth it. The pool looks wonderful in the pictures and was one of the reasons we chose this place to stay. There is an retractable roof for nice weather and it must've been open at some point recently. There were so many bugs in the pool my ecstatic 4 & 9 year old kids refused to get in. It was disgusting. My son said he should have brought his fishing pole instead of bathing suit! Overall a suitable stay if you know what to expect and get a "3000" room! No musty smell there.....just a "new" and fresh smell!!!

My wife and I stayed at the seasons thanksgiving weekend. This was our first stay here and our third trip to nashville. We loved this place and can't wait to go back. We stayed in one of the new rooms on the east side which is definitely a must. Big room with king bed, balcony, flat screen tv, and a big bathroom with a huge tub. These rooms have recently been rebuilt after a fire. The hallways in the old side smelled a little musty, but I can't say what the old rooms are like. The staff was always friendly and check in/out was fast and easy. We used the pool which is pretty big and enclosed in a seperate all glass building out front. After swimming we went down to the bar where they have a live band every weekend. Breakfast the next morning was included. They had a hot buffet with plenty to pick from. The next time we go to brown county the seasons will be where we stay. For others, make sure you book a new room. They have a two night weekend stay policy, but they waived it for us when I called. They weren't very busy that weekend so it wasn't a problem. I would recomend this hotel to anybody.

Booked a room with Seasons during peak season and was charged $177.00 for one night. This place is old and dirty. When we arrived to check in we were sent to the far end near entrance to access our room. Went up a flight of stairs on out side to find glass entry doors and windows filthy. Went to our room to find finger prints all over television, mirror above dresser looked like it had been sneezed on, dead bugs, a bee, and dead lady bugs inside along window and glass doors. Windows inside and glass door out to shared balcony were dirty. Cob webs all along inside of curtains. Notified desk then went down to desk to speak with manager who was out and the lady there said, and I quote..."well if it is just bugs and finger prints"...as if that was no reason to complain and I assured her it went far beyond dead bugs and dirty surfaces with finger prints. We left for a few hours and returned to meet with manager in our room. When we entered we found they had sent housekeeping in to vacuum up the bugs.Finger prints, dirty surfaces, mirrors and windows were not touched. The manager was most concerned with only the cob webs (big ones and a lot of them) and was trying to view them with a flash light. He said the cleaners are stressed and had a lot to do, etc. I told him if they allowed the little things to go that I feared what the bigger things such as bed, tubs, floors, etc might have on them. He said to me "well, don't you have lady bugs where you live?" Regardless, they just would not accept that that room was pretty nasty. I refused to stay and asked for a refund which the manager gave us in full. We drove over two hours home late that evening. They charge a high price for a rather old and not so clean place. Pictures on their web site are deceiving so we feel. As we left we look over to our room to see a person in there wiping the TV down. Guess that would be sufficient in their minds to get the next guests in there and keep them quiet. Very disappointed. We did take photos to use if they were unwilling to work with us.

I booked this hotel after reviewing on the web - was very disappointed. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. The hotel is very rustic - much prefer more modern hotel. We purchased the romance package and an additional day. We asked if we could cancel after we arrived but they would not permit it. We were able to cancel additional day. If you want "romantic" I would rate this as zero. Ruined the day for us.

Also nothing and I mean nothing to do after 5 p.m. in town or at the hotel.

My husband and I stayed for a one night Romance Package (since we were getting married that same day). We thought this was a great package! We had a beautiful room, an entire BIG bottle of champagne, two beautiful glasses (that we got etched with our names, thanks to the romance package), a little box of chocolates, some strawberries, a very expensive dinner and a great breakfast! Our dinner itself would have been about $53, and breakfast would have been over $20, but was all included in the package. The folks were really nice and the fireplace was great. We had no issues with weird odors in the room, like in many other places. The only thing we wished we had was a jacuzzi. That would have made it perfect. Otherwise, it was wonderful. Definitely a great place to stay. Go for the package. The value makes it worthwhile! Also, the train will pick you up and take you into the shopping area for free. Fun shops, although they are closing fairly early this time of year, so go early in the day. Couldn't have asked for better, because we certainly got one of the best.

We love the Season's Lodge. We go to Nashville, Indiana 4 times a year just to stay here in one of the fireplace rooms. It's wonderful for a great getaway and extremely romantic. We want to get married here!
