“Beautiful lodge, food was just ehh..”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

The buffet was ok, bland style food. I ordered just a grilled cheese and it was ok. Kinda burnt. It was really cheap so that was good and the setting was very nice but they need to step it up a bit on food flavor

“Excellent Sunday Night Buffet”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We stopped at the Abe Martin Lodge restaurant for dinner. They had a buffet which we tried. The fried chicken was some of the best I have ever had. The meatloaf was juicy and tender. The bread pudding was the best I have ever had. They also had white cake with rum sauce that was delicious. The service was great, and our waiter was attentive and checked back often. Overall we enjoyed all of the food on the buffet. The waiter said the dinner buffet is offered on any night where the inn capacity is over 50%, and you can call ahead to see if there will be a buffet. On top of the great restaurant, this place is located in one of the most beautiful state parks in Indiana!

“4 days with old friends from high school in Warrick Co”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

This was probably our 40th trip to Brown Co State Park in 44 yrs but since we are senior citizens now we opt to stay in the main Lodge. Wonderful get together but the Lodge needs serious updating and renovation. The wi-fi needs to work in ALL the rooms not just the ones near the front desk and game rooms on the second floor..ALL carpet needs replacing..heavily stained in rooms and elevators..paint to freshen up the entire Lodge. Highlight was the food and prices in the main dining area..fabulous..we saved a ton of money eating all meals there..waitresses were attentive, fun and awesome. Front desk staff also very accommodating and listened to me gripe about the lack of wi-fi in our rooms.(3 of us brought our iPads) Please renovate and start ASAP on the dirty, worn carpet!

“Could be better.”
Reviewed 4 January 2014

This restaurant inside of the Abe Martin Lodge did not impress me. Fried chicken came out cold, and the fish was a fish-stick like patty warmed up in a microwave and slapped on a bun. Barely any fish, mostly fried junk. Salad? More like shreds of iceberg with one sliver of red cabbage, a small chunk of carrot, and ten croutons on top. Potato soup was good however, and the portion size was relative to the price. The lodge itself is magnificent, but their restaurant is definitely lacking.
