Jill & Kris are both very nice. Our room was #4. A nice full size comfortable bed smashed into a tiny cramped corner room, along with a tiny cramped bathroom and a tiny outdated TV. My husband and I literally had to turn sideways and scoot by each other to even move past any spot in the room. He is tall & thin, He had to turn sideways to scoot along his side of the bed to get in. This room should have been offered to a maximum of 1 very small adult as we are not large people. The bed had been slept in and we waited for Jill to change sheets and remake, which meant the bathroom may have also been used but wasn't cleaned. I found the bathroom cleaner and did it myself and used a towel as a rug on the floor. The breakfast portions were already plated and tiny.1 normal size serving of egg & spinach casserole, 1 small piece of bacon, 1/2 sausage link, 1 mini cinnamon roll and a smack serving of fruit in a sauce. There was orange juice, hot water for tea and some coffee. They ran out of coffee and my husband was told they were "out". Another gentleman mentioned he usually had big farm breakfasts and was jokingly offered some cereal if he was still hungry, he left the table. Our group stopped by Starbucks.
From what Kris said they are trying to make this line of work their future. My suggestions to them: Scrub the bathrooms, including the floors every guest change and clean and dust floors, furniture, window sills etc. at least once a week even if no one uses the room. Big old houses have dust. State the compactness of room #4 to potential guests, so upon arrival, there is no surprise/shock. You have only one meal to make a great impression, use the opportunity to make a great impression! Stretch your dollars by serving sausage or chipped beef gravy, egg, potato or vegetable and meat casseroles etc. and make sure you have a big basket of muffins and breakfast breads with a handy toaster, some flavored butters & jellies and a few pieces of fresh fruit with plenty of milk, coffee and juice to drink. Good luck and I hope this has been helpful.

Room Tip: Do not choose room #4! Tiny, crowded, all windows on a corner with no way to pull the drapes for privacy from the close neighboring homes.

Guest room 4 at the Smith house is described on our website, www.pwsmithbnb.com, as our smallest room, most suited for an occupancy of 1 adult. In this particular circumstance, the guests did not book their room, but it was booked by a family member. Therefore, we did not have the opportunity to discuss their needs prior to check in.

We strive for an excellent standard of cleanliness, and can ensure that every room is cleaned and sanitized appropriately between each guests stay. Concerning breakfast, in 14 years of innkeeping, we have never refused a guest's request for additional food or beverage at the breakfast table. It is our utmost concern that each guest has an exceptional "bed and breakfast" experience and encourage honest feedback from them so as to continue to improve guest's overall experience.

Spent 3 nights in the beginning of November while exploring Antique Alley and had an amazing stay at the Martha E Parry property!

Rooms were spacious and furnished very nicely, as was the entire house. You can tell the love and care that was taken while finishing this beautiful old home!

The hosts Kris and Jill were wonderful and helpful throughout our entire stay. Breakfast was great and my husband and I had a wonderful time chatting with Kris each morning. He was also super helpful with suggestions for the area as far as restaurants, antique shops and truly helped us make the most of our trip! (Plus, each night when we returned there were fresh baked treats waiting for us!)

We plan to head back to the area and look forward to another wonderful stay!

I had a day staying in Richmond Indiana, and called the Martha Parry house. Jill said she had a room at last moment!! What a stunning old house. The stained glass on the second floor landing was spectacular. I had to leave early the next morning and Kris prepared a breakfast for me the night before and brought it over to keep in the fridge. As an author, the atmosphere was almost total 19th century, adding an inspiration for my stories!!

Room Tip: If you go here expect to be treated like royalty.

We did a girls weekend getaway to go biking but unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate with us. We were warmly received by Kris and after getting settled into our beautiful quaint rooms we headed to the parlor for cocktail hour. It was so great hearing the history of the home, how Jill & Kris purchased this property, the Smith house and their new future venture the "Bed and Brew". A fantastic delicious breakfast was prepared by Jill and Kris. The house is incredible with all of the mahogany especially the stained glass window in the stairwell. This house will not disappoint you. Take a step back in time and enjoy this beautifully decorated B & B. We can't wait to return to the Bed and Brew with spouses.

Room Tip: The master suite on the second floor was very spacious

My friend and I decided to have a girl's night in the area and stay at our first B & B. We didn't know what to expect and this went way above our expectations! Kris and Jill went out of their way to make us feel comfy and welcome. We stayed in the Martha Perry house and loved it! Everything was beautiful, cozy and clean. Food was delicious as well. Highly recommend if you are in the area you give these two a call. It was a very pleasant stay and we would do it all again.
