My wife and I went away for a few days 'fall touring' in September. I booked this location because of their website and their location - central to Guelph, K-W and Elora.
It's a very nice B & B with a lot of history. The owners have a display of background information of the place which is very interesting. We had a chance to see all the rooms and the themes are a nice variety of colours and furnishings - we stayed in the Rose Room.. The dining room was beautiful with a lot of period details. It is run by a pleasant, unobtrusive couple that keep the place very neat inside and out.
Down sides, not really. There are no rooms with king-sized beds. There is another historic building across the street that is open on weekends as a bar (we stayed at the beginning of the week). I would ask the owners about potential noise if I were staying a weekend. The rooms have been renovated quite well with a sympathetic eye to being 'period correct' but some people may lament the use of modern doors - just a minor detail.
All in all it was a good stay and we would consider staying again.
