Owner description: The story of Santa Claus, Indiana, comes alive at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. Explore the town's famous history in the Santa Claus Museum and pick up the perfect souvenir in the gift shop. Visit the beautiful, 1880 Santa Claus Church and the giant Santa Claus Statue, built in 1935 and standing 22-feet-tall. Spend some time in the Original Santa Claus Post Office and write your free letters to Santa. Don't forget to include your name and address... Santa and his Elves will write back in December!

Not slick, just sweet. Love wandering from room to room learning more about the town of Santa Claus. Don't miss it!

What a charming, entertaining and informative museum!
The unique history of Santa Claus, IN is found inside, and a fascinating history of Holiday World (opened as Santa Claus Land) theme park is displayed through artifacts, historic photos, souveniers, etc.
A great way to spend a hour or two on your visit to Santa Claus!

If you enjoy history or Christmas, you'll probably like this. It's a very small museum, but it shows the entire history of the town of Santa Claus and Holiday World. I liked it and found the artifacts, old letters to Santa Claus and photos very cool. Your 12-year old son who is used to playing X-box all day, will probably not feel the same way.
You can hit up the musuem, the post office and Christmas store in less than an hour, as they are all in a row in the same shopping center. Other than that (and Holiday World), there's not much else to do in Santa Claus.
PS- be sure to ask for the tour. Otherwise, you won't get to find out all the interesting tidbits, as the signs aren't very descriptive!

The museum is located in the Kringle Place Shopping Center, along with the town's world famous post office and the county visitor's bureau. The museum offers free admission.

The museum offers the opportunity to learn the fascinating history of Santa Claus, Indiana. Particular focus is given to the town's post office, Santa's Candy Castle, Santa Claus Park (home to the historic Santa statue), Santa's Elves (the non-profit group that answers letters to Santa), and Holiday World (originally Santa Claus Land). Other than this, their is nothing else there.

This museum is overated in all of its advertisements.

This is a 2-room museum near the Post Office. It seems like it is more of a store to sell Santa Claus items because the assistant to inform and answer questions also must ring up sales at the register when he is all alone. It does have some memorabilia from when the park was called Santa Claus Land. However, I wouldn't recommend stopping here except for a Santa Claus souvenir.
