The rooms were great, you could tell that they were still renovating by the indoor pool and spa area, but they still made it look inviting to go to. The room was great, the directions to my room not so great as I did not realize that I had to go through a door to get to my room that looked like a fire escape door that had exit on it and then the signage do not leave door open. I am not a well seasoned traveler as I only have one business event that I have to attend every year.
The breakfast bar was okay. It could have been a better set up if they had the coffee and juices better placed on a side table instead of tucked off to the side and on the other side of the breakfast bar. But the food was good that was served. We inadvertently got a server upset, because a person at our table got up to get coffee and proceeded to serve those of us who wanted more. It was never our intention to upset the server, we thought we were helping out.
The bar in the evening was good the first two nights of our stay, but on the third night we had to hunt down a server and place our order even though were seated at a table area. we waited 45 minutes and still had no drinks while everyone at the walk up bar area was being served.

Over all the stay was good, and they were prompt with my wake up calls and the staff was helpful when you asked the for help. I was very pleased with the over all visit. I had a nice time at the business event this year. I hope we can do it again with you all next year.

The entire staff was very well, the staff greeted us and made sure everyone had what they needed! It was a friendly environment, and I hope we come back next year! The food was really good and well prepared!

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms with amenities, good price. Very near the interstate. Major disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday and it was difficult to find another good one nearby.

2 Queen beds; room was clean and quite large, with a kitchenette. The bathroom was very clean and the shower had very good water pressure (low water pressure is a pet peeve of mine). Separate sink/vanity is adjacent. AC unit does make quite a racket, though - knocked sleep quality rating down due to that. Nice bar/ restaurant with GREAT staff. The morning we were leaving was my daughter's birthday. Breakfast - FULL, hot, buffet style breakfast, not a cold bagel and warm cream cheese - is served in the restaurant. Staff overheard it was her birthday and surprised her with cookies with candles. Nice touch.

Room Tip: Don't book through an OTA; you'll get a better rate if you book through them directly. Our...

Over all not a bad place to stay for a couple days. Bed mattresses were v shaped so with two of us in the bed we rolled into one another. A/C/Heater unit made a heck of a noise and couldn't sleep. front desk moved our room and took $20 a night off our rate but when we checked out they made no note of this. We had our paperwork from when we checked in to show that we switched rooms, and that's the only thing that saved us on getting our rate changed! I don't know if we will be staying there next year when we come into town probably going to look elsewhere. If we would stay again it would be for the bar and breakfast they were great!!!

Nothing amazingly fancy but has all the amenities that you could look for. Nice bar/ restaurant with great staff service. It's all you can ask for at a nice price. Located close to Notre Dame provides added convenience.

The good points - Single, queen room was clean and quite large, had a nice kitchenette and the shower was very clean, nice towels too. Also had a chair that converted to a twin bed. Front desk staff was very pleasant.

Now for the bad -No elevator anywhere in the hotel. The room could have been considered nice except the bed was horribly uncomfortable and the carpeting and bedding were very old and worn (skinniest blanket I've ever seen). In the bathroom the shower head was very low, at 5' tall I was fine but anyone much taller than that was out of luck. Also, water kept going from scalding to freezing and back again, also lost water pressure frequently. Our room (406) was right above the side entrance to the hotel where people pounded on the door and it slammed shut all night long so we didn't get much sleep.

This hotel is huge but was pretty empty and we were located very far from the front desk which did not add to my sense of security. And while I imagine this would not be a problem during football weekends, it was an issue for me in the middle of February. There were also buckets scattered about since the roof was leaking badly while we were there, although there were no leaks in our room.

Bottom line - this hotel is probably rated "fair" - maybe a "2 1/2" - but since that is not an option on Tripadvisor, I had to give it a "2"
