A friend and I are working in Valparaiso for a couple of weeks. A neat place that stands out as you pass by because there are statues of steel workers on top of the building. The décor is fashioned from the steelworkers that built skyscrapers back in the 1930's. We have all seen pictures of the guys way up in the sky sitting there with no restraints. The building had weathered looking steel on the outside as well as the inside. They even have a train along the ceiling that runs around a track through the dining room. Great old pictures on the walls. I have to say this place is really awesome inside and out. Now on to the food. It was darn good. We travel every week and loved the food. The staff, WAS so friendly and fun. We ate at the bar and met several guys from out of town. Christy was our waitress and bar tender. She was great. On top of everything. When we stepped out to smoke she actually put our beers on ice until we got back!! She is a real professional. We all enjoyed her company and humor. We met the owner. Darn good guy. The night manager also came by many times. She also was fun and very pleasant. All I can say at this point is this is our place anytime we are in Valparaiso from now on.
