Traveling across country can be dangerous business, especially if you are in unfamiliar places with no connection to the food scene. Who knew that Valparaiso, Indiana would be such a great place to stop for the night. The hotel is a nice surprise, but the recommendation from Kaitlyn at the front desk that we check out Industrial Revolution means the road trip gods are watching over us.
Love this place. The look is cool, but not hipster cool that lets me know I'm the old guy in the room, just authentic cool. The people are great. Lindsay, our server, was cute and friendly as could be, and she's obviously proud of her place. And Ronnie is a great host and conversationalist, not to mention craft beer guru extraordinaire. Thanks for the hospitality and the ridiculously delicious Doritos Burger.

Good food. Good beer selection. Great atmosphere. But sometimes I've found the service to be really poor other it's great though; but this has impacted how often I end up eating there.

This is the second time we have been to Industrial Revolution in Valparaiso, IN. The building welcomes you right away with all kinds of industrial revolution era statues. The feeling continues on the inside with the photos and the train that is running on track hung from the ceiling. An abundance of TV's with sports and old time TV shows. (Even the women's bathroom has a TV that plays I Love Lucy shows!) They have a nice selection of craft beers, and their menu is very eclectic. For an appetizer we had flatbread which was delicious. Our entrees were a Cobb salad and their famous pot roast dinner....highly recommended! The staff was outstanding....a huge shout out to the manager, Ronnie, who gave us a complimentary dessert (fabulous cheesecake) to go. Love this place and will definitely go back!!!

My wife chose the pot roast pot pie; i, the perch tacos. Both were novel and very tasty. So was my peach iced tea. Our server Ashley was spirited, helpful, and fun. We enjoyed the decor and the video display. Interesting story of the steelmaker owner starting up the restaurant with a vision that combines the two vocations.
