Description: Nine Irish Brothers is an award-winning traditional Irish pub--recently named the Best Irish Pub in the State of Indiana by Yelp and Buzzfeed--with two convenient locations in Greater Lafayette, Indiana, and a third location in the heart of Massachusetts Avenue in Indianapolis. Our family-owned-and-operated restaurant serves premium Irish food and spirits and has a full bar and menu, with items ranging from salads to steak to Irish favorites such as Guinness Stew, Shepherd's Pie, and Fish & Chips. Well-behaved patrons of all ages are welcome from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless circumstances prohibit minors (e.g. large, rowdy bands). Nine Irish Brothers is proud to be smoke-free. We also feature live Irish entertainment on most weekend nights. We take reservations for parties of six or more people.

9IB is always a staple when I come back to Purdue. The fish and chips is a must. If you're really hungry get the full order. If you want to do anything afterwards, just get the half order. You must get a perfect pint too. If you're looking for a free drink on your 21st, the owner will come out and do a shot with you. You must come here if you're stopping by.

“Very Much An Irish Pub Experience in the Heartland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

For an evening of live Irish music in a setting that feels very authentically true to the Emerald Isle, this was the place last Friday evening! Lachlan, a duo from across the pond was providing the music and the Irish spirits and fare were delicious. The wait staff added to the positive atmosphere.

“Not kid-friendly/good fish tacos ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

While visiting Indiana for a few weeks, my family, friends and I wanted to try this local Irish spot. We'd been given fairly good reviews and even called ahead to see if kids were welcome. We were assured they were. We arrived post lunch rush, and even with the few people in the restaurant, our service was spotty. It took quite some time to get drinks and answer basic questions. There is no kids menu, but the waitress suggested a few items that can be turned into "kid food". The biggest disappointment was not having a high chair for my very busy 1 year old or a sling for a 6 month old. Instead I had to hold him during lunch, which is doable, but lunch was far from relaxing. The sautéed fish tacos are fantastic. The fried ones are all bread and not good. The corned beef quesadillas are also tasty. While I respect a bar and its right to be a bar and not allow kids, my frustration is that this bar accepts children, yet doesn't do anything to accommodate them & their needs. Make up your mind or make some changes.

Nine Irish delivers good food, good drinks and a fun atmosphere every time. This is a great spot no matter what your celebrating. If you're not there to celebrate anything, you will be by the end of the night. Their Shepard's Pie is so good and a great value. They have the coolest decor/atmosphere in all of Purdue country.

“Reliable food, friendly atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014 via mobile

Standard pub grub, with a heavy emphasis on fried food. Not too many healthy offerings on the menu, but then, what were you expecting? Nice selection of beers on tap. Good for groups up to about 8-10. Most tables accommodate 4-6. The TVs and piped music can be a bit of a distraction at times and can sometimes interfere with conversation depending on who controls the volume. Note that parking can be a challenge at busy times, especially on weekend nights during the school year.
