An older property that shows a little bit of age but it looks like the folks running it do there best to keep it nice. The property is just off Roosevelt(Burlington's main drag) a few blocks from the casino. The room was large well kept and clean. The breakfast has lots of options all the basics plus sausage patties and cheese omelttes. The staff was friendly helpful and professional. The only draw backs are no elevator to get to the 2nd floor, the location can be hard to find at night and the cheese omelttes were under done. Overall a pretty good value for under$70.

We were headed north to Minneapolis and decided to stay in Burlington, IA at Quality Inn. Good choice as solid value stop ... clean, friendly, nice am breakfast and located in the heart of 'food alley' so several good dinner choices after arrival. For a quick, affordable overnight this motel met our expectation. A tad hard to see at first as not on main road and awkward entry on to property but not a real complaint. Try it, you shouldn't be disappointed.

The management has tried to update this older property. The bedding included comfortable duvets and lots of pillows. The separate sink area had newer granite and faucets. The bathroom floor was tiled, but cracked. The toilet bowl had a small crack in it and black mold encircled the top edge of the bowl. So they just need to continue their remodeling in the toilet and bath area. This hotel met our needs as business travelers. The stay included a hot breakfast which is always appreciated.

The staff is courteous and the rates average. While the room was clean, I rated it down because of the untidy exterior of the building and the filthy AC filter. The filter was so dust clogged that the unit could not cool our room. I elected to wash it out myself rather than wait on hotel maintenance. This is a routine maintenance item and there is no excuse. Someone also warned us while we were unloading to leave no valuables in our car. He said that there have been several overnight car break-ins lately. I noticed a couple of the lights were out.

The check-in clerk was very helpful in allowing room changes and directing us to a good local restaurant. We were very pleased with the service. The location made it easy to get downtown, to the river, and out of town.

Room Tip: This is a bit away from the highway so the rooms were quiet.
