The Italian Specialties include such tasty creations as Baked Ziti with Chicken and Shrimp, Lobster with Black Fettucine, Chicken and Spinach Ravioli, Chicken Balsamico, Baked Salmon, and Bruschetta, as well as several Panini's. We also have 10 Big Specialty Salads, many appetizer choices, homemade cupcakes and delectable desserts. We offer a full line of beers and wines, as well as a full bar. “Good food, poor waiter”
Reviewed 3 November 2013 via mobile

Decided to try this restaurant based on the high reviews everyone gave the food. If food were the only criteria to make or break a restaurant I would give this place 5 circles but after having the worst service I've had in a long while from a college guy who had no intentions of actually waiting on tables, forgetting that bread comes with each meal, not bothering to ask if we wanted water, and sitting at the bar with his phone in his hand, I'm giving this place 3 circles. The server helping the table behind us was pleasant, attentive & sounded generally happy. Ours however needs to find another job. Ruined my experience. Otherwise yes the food is good.

“Delicious food, great ambiance, thumbs up!”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

Oh my - food was superb! Our waitress Abby had some recommendations which we went with and were NOT disappointed - it was great! Nice decor - kind of a rat pack vibe. Bread was delicious too. Only complaint was no bread or water refills, (or offers) did not have my wine selection, and the cupcake for dessert wasn't all that great, but the main meal was wonderful and would not hesitate to eat there again!

“Varied menu, always tasty”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

We've eaten at Monica's several times enjoying their popular ziti and pot pie among other things. We've found everything well-prepared. Also, they do deliver which is especially handy if you're staying in Coralville and want to dine in.

“New Favorite Restaurant!”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

We have enjoyed Monica's twice in the last month. It has become our new favorite restaurant. Friendly staff, delicious, reasonably-priced food, great menu. Each time we've visited, we were greeted warmly by the staff (maybe this man is the owner?). We could tell he appreciated us coming to dine there. Menu has American dishes and Italian dishes. Great appetizers. Great drink list. Haven't tried the desserts yet. Outdoor seating was my favorite. Can't wait to go back!
