We ate here the first week it opened, everyone enjoyed the appetizer, artichoke dip, it was excellent, and our meals were all very large, and good. We took some home for another meal. I would recommend this place, booths are comfortable. We had to wait about 30 minutes, but it was worth it.

Just off I-80 in Coralville, Iowa at Exit 240, you might not know this restaurant is there because it is hidden from view of the exit ramp. However, it is located on the same street (Commerce Street) as the McDonald's, Harley Motorcycle, and Wal-Mart. Just head west over the hill and you'll see it on the south side of the street. The entrance is in "back" same side as the Interstate.

Once inside you will find a beautiful, busy, restaurant offering all kinds of menu choices. I had soup and a sandwich and it was delicious. Cheddars are located all over the country, but this might be the first one in Iowa. Check it out. I think you'll like it. Prices? Not too expensive for all you get.

This was our first visit to this newly opened restaurant. We had heard that it was good food on a varied menu. We got there before the Saturday lunch rush and were seated immediately. The waitress was there as we sat down and asked if we wanted something to drink. We asked for a little more time. She came back shortly after that and luckily we were ready. The menu has very many choices and being first time customers we needed time to look it over. The waitress was pleasant but seemed to want to get our order in ASAP. We finally made our selections and waited a fairly long time for the food to arrive. It was a busy Christmas season Saturday. The food was worth the wait however. My wife had grilled salmon that she said was some of the best she has had. I had the fish tacos that I my estimation were second to none. Nice large pieces of fish and a very flavorful corn coleslaw. Overall, the good food at really reasonable prices is worth the visit. The staff may need more experience before it becomes more efficient. We are looking forward to going back and trying many more of the menu items.

We went about a month after they opened. The staff is poorly or completely untrained.
Our waitress shortly after we were seated came over and asked how everything was going. We had not yet gotten our menu yet. We said things were fine and she left, we assumed to get us menus.... ten minutes later she came back and asked how everything was going again and we asked for menus and would she take our drink order. She said she would get us menus but someone from the bar would have to get our drink order. 8 Minutes go by before someone else brought us our menus. More time passed before we were able to put in our food menus. 1 Person in our group of 8 was brought there food. 40 minutes later, 5 more persons were brought there food. Still waiting the other 3 finally got there food....Still no bar staff had come. Some of the meals were overcooked and some were cold others were ok. Finally the Bar staff arrived to take our drink order which by then we had decided to pass.
By the way we had asked for water since we were unable to get drinks with our meal. It was served when the last plates came out but with no Ice...Granted they were very busy being a football saturday and after complaining to management they did comp every other meal. The Staff can make or break a place. They need more training before I will go back again.
